Sale Price: £1500
Date: 19/06/2020
Condition: Used
Location: Brightlingsea, GB
Description
Brand new rear hugger (although slightly chipped when I walked the bike forward with a dick lock still on).Braided brake hoses.Dark double bubble screen.Good tyres.Nice sounding exhaust.LED headlight bulbs.Aftermarket rear shock.Serviced in February 2020 with new air filter, oil filter and spark plugs. At the same time (Feb 2020) fitted brand new radiator, fairing bolts all-round and put on new chain and sprockets.A few marks on the bodywork/engine cover as per photos. Will throw bike cover and a couple of disk locks if you want - I won't need them any more as I am giving up bikes (hence the sale).MOT'd on 25th March 2020 so nearly a full year on that. One key for the ignition, and one key for the storage under the rear seat - evidently at some point one of the locks has been changed, I suspect the seat one as the key for the ignition is a proper Honda key, but the one for the seat isn't.Has nearly a full tank of fuel. You can have that.Owners manual included. Lots of good MOT history here: www.check-mot.service.gov.uk just type in the reg number to check it out. Service history is good until 2010/17,500 miles then absent apart from some receipts until I serviced it in February. Nothing to worry about in there though, it's a very strong engine and it sailed through its MOT after I serviced it. This video is of me starting the bike on 9th June 2020 after it being sat under the cover for more than two months: https://photos.app.goo.gl/obpDhDE6o28nhQau5 This video is of the bike starting again at temperature after a run the same morning: https://photos.app.goo.gl/FFa9S6ga8R9MW7d59 This photo album shows you the paperwork I have for the bike including details of the aftermarket rear shock: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pckE4BzafmbF9ZTp6 You can hear a slight lumpiness on the first video, but this cleared after it was ridden as per the second video. I did notice a lumpiness when pulling from very low revs (sub 2,000 rpm) so I would recommend you get the carbs cleaned/serviced the next time you get the bike serviced (as a guide, this would cost approx. £200 at my local bike shop). Alternatively it might just need a good long run at decent revs to blow the cobwebs out from having stood for nearly three months (which would be fun as it's a very quick bike - I cannot do this though as I have already given away my riding kit apart from a helmet pre-lockdown and can't afford the risk of points on my licence). Definitely not a big problem though; worst case scenario is a few hours labour to get the carbs cleaned/balanced at your local garage. Actually, I doubt the carbs have ever been cleaned in the 22 years since the bike came out of the factory so it would be worth doing in my opinion even if the lumpiness clears after a good run. Basically, don't buy the bike and then moan about it being lumpy on cold start up or at low revs as I am too busy to deal with it. It obviously has a very strong battery seeing how it started first time after nearly three months. Could do with a wash as it's quite dusty even though it's been under a cover. Can also sell front and rear paddock stands on top of the sale (again, don't need them any more as I am not biking any more). No reserve so bid away. You can come and look at the bike if you want (I am in Brightlingsea, Essex) but if you want to ride it then I want a) £2.5k in my hand and b) for you to do it on a private road nearby (in my work's car park up the road will do). Whoever wins it has 24 hours to give me £200 non-refundable deposit or it gets re-listed and I would prefer it if the bike was paid-for and gone within a week, definitely within two weeks.
