I've owned the bike for a couple of years, about a year ago I changed the rear pads and noticed an oil leak from the final drive. I removed it and started to replace the oil seal, but sadly the bolts were corroded and a couple sheared. I found another one in good condition and refitted it, somewhat annoyingly the bike rides fine but there must some incompatibility with the ECU as now the Brake Failure Warning light is on, although the brakes work fine. The speedo also under reads, doubtless the computer needs to be told that it has a new final drive. Anyway, the whole computers on a motorbike blows my mind, I prefer old bikes that don't have them. I'm tired of trying to work it out so I'm selling it as a rideable project. Hopefully someone with the necessary knowledge to tell the computer that everything is fine can extinguish the light. It comes with about every add on I can think of an a pretty comprehensive BMW service history. You're welcome to come and have a look and a test ride if you can hand me the cash as security.
