1997 Yamaha XVS400 UK Registered JAP Import Trade Bike Manufacturer: Yamaha Model: XVS400 Dragstar Year: 1997 Engine No: 26M-042520 Frame No: 4TR-099531 Colour: Black Mileage: 14431 KM Capacity: 399cc Starting at: £1199.99 Stock No: 83295 This UK Registered 1997 Yamaha XVS400 Dragstar has recently been imported from Japan, it is fitted with dragpipes and has a valid MOT until September 2020. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike is in fairly good condition, main concerns cosmetically being a shallow dent in the RH side of the fuel tank and a few scratches in the paintwork. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, calipers and working brakes. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok. The fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy with the exception of some chrome paint peeling from behind the rear RH . The dragpipes fitted are solid. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have ridden it around our showroom on it's own fuel but the carbs will need some attention in order to run smoothly.
