Reluctant sale for health reasons of my pride and joy year 2000 Honda XR400R. I bought this bike brand new in March 2000 and have owned it ever since, registration documents to prove. It has only done 1935 km (1202 miles) in its 20 years, which is supported by every MOT certificate for every year which I've have kept since required in 2003. The bike is totally original and looked after and serviced by a local specialist motorcycle mechanic every couple of years. The only modification is the replacement of the rear mudguard tool kit bag to an Acerbis larger one. The bike has been kept in a heated garage all its life under covers and I've used it a few times each year for green lane riding on the local moors. It's kick start only and starts easily on the early kicks from cold. There are some light scratches on the front mudguard and side panels. The tank decals do bubble slightly in places in direct sunlight. The tyres are new, Metzeler Sahara Enduro 3 dual-purpose fitted with new inner tubes. I intended to do more UK road touring this year but not able to now. The off-road tyres that were replaced are on the photograph and are part of the sale with the bike. There are two steering lock keys, all the original and current registration documents, all MOT certificates, the original Honda handbook and small tool kit.
