With straight cut Vance & Hines Slingshot Slip-ons, drag-style handlebars that put you in a more upright and aggressive riding position, front fork gaiters, factory chopped rear fender, and integrated running, brake and indicators in two low-profile rear lamps, this Iron 883 is a raw, stripped-down, aggressive bike that gives the rider an authentic, throwback riding experience. The Evolution engine, known in certain crowds as the Blockhead, was first bolted to the frame of a Harley back in 1984. Born from legendary Shovelhead and Ironhead engines, the Evolution engine broke new ground in displacement innovation while maintaining the hunger for power, durability and proven reliability that the company was built on. Air-cooled and durable as hell, the 883cc Evolution engine was yet another nod to the unwavering work ethic that drove advancements in motor technology at Harley-Davidson. Aluminium heads and cylinders lighten the load of the bike and improve air-cooling efficiency. Electronic fuel injection said goodbye to carbs and boosted reliability. Bottom line: the rubber-mounted Evolution engine runs hard and rides smooth for thousands of miles so you can just worry about taking in the freedom of the open road. This bike also comes with a factory installed security system which features a hands-free fob that automatically arms and disarms the vehicle electronic security functions as you approach and walk away from the bike. Stick the fob on your ignition key ring and let it do all the work. A custom rear seat and added rear foot pegs means that carrying a passenger is also an option. All our bikes are HPI clear. We do not sell junk. You are encouraged to do you own HPI checks regardless. Spending £20 for peace of mind is worth the money. Although warranty could be included, as the business is closing, we won’t be around to honour that warranty. We’d rather be upfront about this before receiving bids. Therefore, for the purposes of warranty, please assume it is not included and treat this sale as you would do any other private sale. However, please consider that the motorcycle has been through our workshop and that we are quite selective with which motorcycles we buy, therefore there should be no surprises.
