HONDA CD200 SCRAMBLER / TRACKER Selling as I now have other projects to do, bike is 40 years old so qualifies for vintage status i.e. no MOT or road tax, has had top end rebuild by previous owner. This year new fork oil, engine oil (this week), spark plugs and rewire. Wiring could do with tidying but is fully functional and everything works ( will include old loom, handy for reference ), Minor pitting to fork stanchions but not on useable area, top part visable has been vinyl wrapped. Bike built with parts from other bikes, new parts and manufactured parts. If I was to keep I would have shortened back end ( frame has not been cut, only the battery holder as new battery much smaller), and made an aluminium mudguard to match front. Indicator and front light brackets are quite crude but wanted to get the bike together to see how it looked and go from there, lost interest now as have others to do. You can ride as is or put a little work into it to make it your own. The bike is really loud, so be warned. Indicators and back light have been extended to suit old large 6v bulbs, another area that could be tidied up or you do away with indicators if you wish. I couldn't find any I liked so this was my short term solution. Tank has been sealed even though not leaking. Has original sponge air filter soaked in oil. Really low mileage (13750) for 40 years. Have fitted a voltage meter so you can do a quick check on voltage as these bikes do not run without a battery. ( it will run if battery low but will pop and fart till battery charges ) Will put a smile on your face. This is a 40 year old bike so don't expect showroom quality, bikes always photograph well.
