Description
Honda CRM250 Mk2 (1991/2, I believe) originally imported from Japan and first registered in UK in 1999. I bought this last year with the intention of going green lane riding so I've already done quite a bit of work including; New chain & sprockets (Renthal alloy rear)Rebuilt front forks with new seals all roundNew exhaust studs and gasketNew front axle clamp studNew speedo cable, hand grips, wheel bearings (not fitted but supplied with bike) It needs and MOT and everything (I mean everything including horn, lights, indicators, brake lights) works except the speedometer. It needs a new speedo drive (£65 and widely available as same as XRs and other Hondas) and there is also play in the rear wheel bearings but new ones are supplied with the bike. Showing just two previous owners and almost 16000kms on the clock, this is pretty good but please have realistic expectations; it is a 30 year old dirt bike. I've ridden it twice, both times on the road; once when I bought it and again after the forks were rebuilt. Both times I just went up and down the box but it starts after a couple of kicks and pulls like a two stroke single should. As it has no MOT it isn't a ride away sale - you will have to collect with a trailer, van, or pickup. On 15-Jun-20 at 20:00:18 BST, seller added the following information: PS There was some corrosion to fork stanchions which the previous owner had covered with carbon fibre wrap. However, it has been treated with etching primer, filled with West System epoxy and micro spheres and faired.
