Description

I have decided to sell my 1991 KMX200 as I have just bought another bike. It runs and rides well, with just over 11,000 miles on the clock (which is genuine looking at the mot history). The motor starts easily , runs really well and is quite perky - as it should be, with no grumbles or rattles. It is running on Rock Oil synthetic with the tank and pump. The motor is standard with an aftermarket full exhaust system (expansion chamber and silencer) - not sure what type though but it does make a great noise when it gets into the power band. I have have renewed various things including front braided brake hose, chain, hand grips and just a couple of weeks ago a new EBC clutch with gearbox oil, new gasket and coolant. The old clutch wasn't slipping really it just didn't feel as 'tight' as it should - old plates were 0.1mm beyond minimumThe bike is not restored so is not perfect example - it has wear and tear - the back end of the seat has a 'funny' bit which has a small repair just in front of the carrier, the side panels and rear mudguard have been painted as the plastic had faded beyond looking ok, the headlight cowl is original plastic but a bit faded, the tank has been painted and looks like it has a bit of repair and repainting. Tank inside has been cleaned and had a Petseal liner to avoid trouble with rust or clogged carb. The frame is original but has had some paint touch ups in places - but overall the whole bike quite smart and tidy. All the lights and indicators work, the rear light is a small 'enduro' type, the horn goes beep and the battery is ok.I have tried to give an honest appraisal and description rather than 'selling ' the bike - If you contact me I can send video of it running and riding by watsapp. It is a UK bike and there are twokeys (one an aftermarket cut one) a Haynes workshop book and a KDX200 manual - that came with it - similar motor but not exactly for this bik, and a stack of old MOT's and some invoices for previous work including rebuilding the rear wheel by Hagon, fork seals, etc.It runs and rides great - surprisingly swift - I think the quoted power figure is 30bhp - a classic nineties 2 stroke and looks great.Located in West Sussex The mot has run out but has about 5 months of Covid mot extension - I haven’t retested as it’s been a bit tricky with bike shops shut etc This is a private sale, sold as seen with no warranty implied or given. Deposit of £100 to be paid 24 hours after auction end and the balance in bank transfer before the bike is collected Bike is for sale elsewhere so may be removed at any time.
