Here for sale (with regret) is my Suzuki GS 250T. I bought this bike a few years ago, with the intention of restoring it, passing my bike test and riding off into the sunset like Richard gere. Unfortunately when i woke up the bike was still in the corner of the garage i'm still on a cbt and the plastic surgery failed miserably. Nevertheless lockdown did provide me with some time to tidy up the old gal, and actually she doesnt scrub up too bad. I'm selling it as a resoration project as she will still need tlc and i dont want anyone thinking its ready to ride. Having said this, she is a runner the engine sounds nice and the clutch and gearbox work fine. So what do i think it needs. Well here is my assessment, its not exhaustive and its just my opinion....As can be seen in the picture, there is a rusty hole in the frame. An hour in the company of a welder should see that right. Sissy bar is missing from the rear and the exhausts could do with some adjustment. (i bought them as the old ones rotted out as usual, but these were off a different model gs, but better than nasty aftermarket in my opinion).Also there is a fuel leak from the tap area & Cosmetically she could use a bit of black for the frame in places, and the tank needs pin striping properly. Other than expected wear of a 38 year old bike thats all i can say.Ultimately I'm hoping someone will save her from another 5 year stint in the corner of shame, as next time she may not make it back. The last mot it had 5 years ago, she passed straight thru after a couple of adjustments.I'm happy to (and encourage) any viewing (at a distance) before the sale ends. Please only bid if you have intentions to buy,(unlike the last bidder that didnt make contact) ive shown all i can in the pics and think they are a fair representation of the old girl. Theres no reserve just what i consider to be a sensible starting price. Payment and collection should be within 3 days unless agreed otherwise.
