Description

2009/58 Yamaha FJR 1300 A Hi, Thanks for looking. This is a ten day auction with a sensible reserve and no buy it now price. I only advertise my bikes on eBay and I will not stop the auction for any reason. Please read my terms of business below. I have the V5 with no previous owners. The owner's Manual. Both black keys and the red one. MOT until 09 June 2021 with two advisories; The steering head bearings are apparently slightly notchie, however, having ridden it I can't notice it at all and the rear disc is slightly worn. It is slightly worn as you can see in the pictures if you enlarge but it is only slightly. Interestingly when it was MOT'd last in Feb this year 87 miles ago neither of these were picked up. That said my MOT guy is really fussy. That said it makes his praise of this bike all the more valued. I have proof of a clear HPI. This FJR is in far better condition than you would expect for its mileage. It looks more like a well looked after 25k mile bike. I would urge you to really spend some time looking at the pictures because it's a genuinely nice one by any measure. It came in as a PX at one of my local BMW dealers as lockdown took hold. The one owner from new left his Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists, Cornwall Advanced Motorcyclists and Iron Butt Association (Long distance touring) Stickers on the screen which I think give a very strong clue to the style of ownership. Annoyingly between lockdown and me being able to collect it they managed to misplace the service history which is a real shame because I'm guessing it's as good as the bike looks. I'm told it was last serviced in February. The tyres look fairy recent as do the front discs. It starts enthusiastically, runs very smoothly and rides perfectly with everything working as it should and no known faults. The body work is really good and the fork lowers have no paint lifting, even the wheel rims are absolutely fine. I'd say from my experience that this is a bike that has always been garaged and used for lots of touring in sunnier climes. There's a very minor scuff on the lower engine casting on the near side (even that's neat), a few pea sized scabs in the paint on the front of that casting and a little bit of paint fade on the panels below the riders seat but to be fair I only noticed these when I saw the pictures you're looking it not when I was looking at the bike in person. Like I said it's far nicer than it has a right to be and as I'm sure you already know if you've read this far down, the engines are bomb proof, you wouldn't even raise an eyebrow if it was a car. Let's face it modern engines will go to the moon and back. Don't miss this for the sake of a service book when it's obviously been so well looked after. Please have a really good look at the pictures for the best indication of its condition, feel free to ask any questions and if you'd like me to send pictures directly to your email address so you can enlarge to see greater detail then contact me directly.
