1949 BSA ZB31 350cc Motorcycle. Lovely 'original' condition as far as they are..doubtless been touched up since 1949 in places but loads of character and patina. Taxed. Mechanically sound and well maintained over the years; runs around the Suffolk lanes beautifully.Easy to start. Magneto recently professionally rewound. Original 3 letter, 3 number registration. Dispatched to C Russell, York on 10th August 1949.Would seem to have both original rims stamped Made in England and Dunlop on rear. Rims have areas of pitting and chrome loss but are absolutely sound and all good inside. Brand new Avon tyres, tubes and bands to front and rear. The frame and engine are an original factory pairing as confirmed by the VMCC. The motorcycle spent much of its life in Bath and then was very carefully stored nearby for 27 years. I have a handwritten letter from this owner and we spoke by telephone..all documented. This is a very nice old B31 for someone who likes originality and an old patina. It has an original Lucas MT 211 rear light fitted but all wiring etc is in place for dual filament if required. I am only selling as I have decided my motorcycling days are now over.
