Update 19/06/20 Following various question about the engine as i have not run it, last night i went through it as i am still waiting for a kick start. Engine has compression, with the spark plug out and rocker covers off i turned the engine over and all the valves operate as they should and look good, tappet adjusters are unmolested as are most of the exterior engine bolts. This is a 1982 PE250 fitted with a DR400 engine and road registered as such on a Q plate. I bought the bike as a project but won’t have time hence selling it. It needs work and I have not run the engine but it’s got good compression and I don’t think it will take much starting. Engine looks un-messed about with which is good, engine complete with carburettor, ignition etc. Lights also appear wired up, kick-start lever is broken and i have one on order. Bike was last on the road in 2000 according to the DVLA and ridden into a garage in 2008, covered over and it has not been started since. It also comes with a standard 81 PE frame if you want to put it back to original but I don’t have a PE motor. I am waiting for the V5 to come from DVLA but the reg shows up on their system as what it is. Viewing welcome near to Derby and is recommended as it needs work. Cash on collection only.
