Welcome to my auction for this rare Honda Cub C70. It is a 1981 registration and has been in the same family for years. It was recently recommissioned and went through its MOT in January so it has a valid MOT until January 2021 so ready to be used and enjoyed. It has covered 16,900 miles and has been used daily and even completed a 200 mile round trip recently. The bike has had all the electrics done by a specialist so all lights, indicators etc work as they ought to. These are only 20 pound a year to tax and this will be tax and MOT exempt from 2021 making it completely free. It is on sale with no reserve. The condition of the bike is very good considering its age. The paintwork has been tidied up over the years and it is very presentable as you can see from the images. There is an odd mark on the fairing and an odd light mark here and there as you would expect from a bike of this age. The tyres are good with plenty of tread remaining. The seat has been recovered onto the original frame which is better than replacing the whole thing as replacement ones are cheaply made and do not last the same. There is a single side stand which works well and is solid and also a double leg stand that the bike rocks back onto and this is solid also. Mechanically it is excellent. The 70cc engine starts instantly on the first kick and runs like a dream as Honda bikes generally do. It revs up freely and there is plenty of power from the engine. The gears all operate well both up and down. These bikes have no clutch as you probably know so very easy to operate and change for the novice rider. The brakes are excellent both the hand brake and the foot brake. The suspension is excellent and gives a very smooth and comfortable ride. They really are easy to ride and fun at the same time. They are ideal to pop to the shops or anywhere really and very handy to park up etc. They are good on fuel and are very cheap to run.
