2004 kx 250f Ive had this bike fot about a year and half,from the moment i got it home it has never been a good starter,so after about a year had enough amd took to a specialist to sort the problem out. Listed below is the work ive had done(which i have the receipts) 1.new big bore piston kit.2.inspect valve lap and re-shim head.3.cam chain.4.gasket set This was the first bit of work to be done,ad i was advised it could have compression problems at a cost of £579.00 It seemed to help,but still took a lot of kicking it over to start....so i took it back again and had more work,listed below. 5.remove and service carb and stator rewind £180.00. When i picked it back up again was told that they still cant find the problem.Sometimes it starts after 3-4kicks and sometimes 30 kicks and still wont start. Ive been advised to put a new carburettor on it but im not willing to spend any more money on it. The bike bump starts no problem and runs ok,so it is a runner but very temperametal when kicking it over. Any questions or queries please contact me on, 07789 377 924. Jerry.
