Description

Here is my Suzuki TLs 1000 V Twin engined Cagiva circa 2000,which has covered 26000 miles. I have owned it for 4 years and it has been reliable. After Cagiva sold Ducati and bought MV they were looking to make a more mainstream bike alongside the Brutalle range, so fitted the entirely proven Suzuki TLs engine into what was in essence the Monster Trellis frame( The designer went over to MV)making a far more comfortably superior bike to the actual TLs. The VTwin with its injectors in the throttle bodies some said had been detuned from the TLs 125 BHP, however Suzuki took their power rating from the crank, whereas Cagiva was taken at the rear wheel, so it is the same and linked to a smooth six speed gearbox Ohlin front forks and Brembo brakes give the riding assurance of an Italian thoroughbred without some of the Latin issues ,particularly with a 20 year old bike. I have hardly used it since its last MOT in 2019, when the only advisory was a slight weep in one fork top.I bought a new front tyre but havent had a chance to get it fitted , so that will be included . Heated grips are fitted. With the Lockdown it is not due an MOT till November 2020. Tax is SORNd Firstly I did fall of it in 2017 on a Club outing in Warwickshire, before going to Ireland for the NW200 in 2017.. Someone said I had run out of talent.Fortunately there was little damage to self or bike as it was a slow speed off. I managed to get a replacement gear lever from a Suzuki dealership near Nuneaton, rested up in the Premier INN and continued, however having to ride it on the back brake beforehand meant a new master cylinder for the back anchor, later on proving just how effective the front ones areThere was some scuffing on the right exhaust and under seat infill panel, please see the attatched photos. After Ireland I toured Scotland, the following week after the NW200, doing the NC500 albeit having bought a van in the interim, drove up to Inverness then did the Highlands rideout another 500 miles on the Cagiva(also going across to The Manx Classic TT) to tick off the items from my bucket list. The reason for not using the bike much was more to do with an old ankle injury which had made riding in boots very uncomfortable and at 68 maybe, its time to slow down .These are becoming Classic Italian Stallions, and sought after, however I have tried to be realistic with price. Cash on collection will be preferred.
