Description

I recently bought this bike on a whim after spotting it hiding under a cover whilst purchasing something completely different from the owner. They had inherited the bike several years ago from the person who carried out the front end modifications but apart from the ignition keys there was no paperwork or anything else supplied. I decided that if I could get the engine running I would restore the bike back to its original state. The engine rotates but unfortunately the inlet valves on number 1 cylinder have seized partially open and therefore restrict further turning of the engine. The spark plug to this cylinder has also seized due to water ingress. The carburettors are in good condition. All gears can be selected and clutch is smooth in operation. The oil still looks clean. The tank still has fuel in it but as my pictures show, there is a crack in the paintwork; this may only be a flaw in the paint application, which is not the best in the world. The front brake works but the rear has seized. The wheels and tyres look in good condition. The exhaust pipe is in fair condition but has hole and dents under the collector box due to impact damage probably caused after fitting the shorter forks. It is with regret that I have to own up to not having the expertise to restore this bike and now offer it up to someone who can restore or use it for spares. I can be contacted on 01362690198 or 07392334607 at any time. Buyer to collect but assistance will be given. No reserve.
