Description
NORTON JUBILEE 250cc TWIN DE LUXE A really clean example of this increasingly rare classic motorcycle. It is the De Luxe version of this lightweight Norton twin, with the stylised mudguard and bodywork. The odometer reads 10,500 miles. Whilst this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, the bike looks like it has not had a great deal of use. Although the bike is MOT and Tax exempt and is registered as an historic vehicle, it comes with an MOT certificate expiring December 2020. I obtained this bike as a 'lockdown' project earlier this year, but circumstances have changed and I need to move it on. All I have done to it is empty and flush the tank, new plugs and charge the battery. It starts easily and ticks over nicely. I've included a couple of photos with the tank and bodywork removed - the electrics are original and unmolested, (new HT leads and plug caps) even down to the big square rectifier! On general inspection there appears to be a lot of new fastenings. Great Dominator style pipes in nice condition. The wheels have been rebuilt at some point. Comes with a pile of information, articles, owners handbook, workshop manual and log book. The bike is an excellent subject for a sensitive restoration and returning to one of the more 'distinctive' 60's colour schemes that defined these machines. *No Reserve - Buyer to collect or arrange collection*
