Description
I have the V5 in my name and have owned the bike for 10 years. It’s hardly been used so I have decided to sell it. The bike has been stored for the last few years in a Vac Bag. I have too many bikes and too little time. It has 11,600 recorded miles though I would not guarantee the mileage on a 43 year old moped! I have the majority of the old MOTs going back to 1997. The bike was on a standard bore when I got it, however I have fitted a 62cc Parmakit barrel, piston, cylinder head, larger main jet and stiffer clutch springs, ported and supplied by Darrell at 50cc Tuning 200 miles ago to help it along. It makes a big difference and it is a lot more usable on the road. I have raised the gearing accordingly. I have the original barrel, piston (Within tolerance.) and cylinder head that will be included in the sale. It is a “394” with matching frame and engine numbers. The frame has been powder coated. The tank is very clean inside and the overall condition of the tin work is good. One key operates both the ignition and steering locks. It has the original rear mudguard with a couple of very small dents. See photos. It has the original “Araya” wheel rims. Not the Araya copies, these are different. The original Yamaha pedal gear though it is not connected (Shown in position in the photos.). Imasen indicators, not pattern copies. The bike has had a new points and condenser. Good Pirelli tyres. Good chain and sprockets. The brakes are good (Relatively speaking!). There is a Haynes Manual, a parts list, a Sales Brochure and flywheel puller included in the sale. To be immaculate the bike does need some of the silver/black paintwork tidying up and some bits re-chroming. It will now be MOT exempt though the Taxation Class will have to be changed. I have not done this as I believe the DVLA are taking a long time to turn these things around at present. On the negative side the front mudguard is a Yamaha original but the I believe it is off a European spec FS1 and the cable guard is on the left rather than the right. The swinging arm has some marks on probably where the chain has came off the sprocket with a previous owner. This is cosmetic. See photos. It is a 43 year old moped so I would rather any potential buyers come and see the bike for themselves before bidding. I will try to be available at your convenience. I would rather people are fully aware of what they are bidding for. There is no buy it now price, the auction will run its course. I can help with delivery if the buyer organises a courier. I could possibly deliver locally at cost, contact me to discuss this. I do not want any part exchange. UK buyers only. Please bid to buy, not to come and start negotiating. I would like a deposit of £100 pounds within 48 hours of the end of the Auction via Paypal and the balance paid by bank transfer. Any questions give me a call on 07446 239 743. No texts please.
