For sale, my beautiful Honda Fireblade SC28, the original model that changed the superbike world back in 1992. Originally a U.S. full power model, imported in to the UK in 1997 and on a Full UK V5 and MPH speedo as standard. MOT’d until 29.10.2020 and only 200 miles since last MOT. Only advisories on current MOT were under inflated tyres and a missing fairing rubber, both of which have now been corrected. Bike just had a tyre service (new valves and tyre bead seal), a standard original exhaust put back on and a visual health check by PDQ Motorcycles in Taplow, Berkshire and she is fighting fit. I bought this bike last year as I have always lusted after an original early model ‘blade but a newborn baby 6 weeks later put paid to my best laid plans of using her often and sunny weekends out. To be fair, I also have 3 other bikes plus a car and simply do not have the time to use any of them, so sadly I have to be realistic and put some up for sale, a Honda NX 650 Dominator supermoto (CBR 600 wheels & forks) and a Honda XL600 LMF Paris Dakar will likely follow soon. I clearly have a thing for 90’s Honda’s! Previous owner serviced her himself for 3 years and she starts & runs beautifully and handles really well, a true testament to typical old fashioned Honda engineering. 25,700 miles, backed up by MOT check online, she has covered only 1000 miles in the past 5 years!! Maxxis Supermaxx front and rear, around 6mm tread on both and everything works exactly as it should. I put a brand new battery on her last week for good measure too and this is currently fully charged and hooked up to my optimate. Condition is commensurate with age and there are a couple of imperfections on the paintwork, I have been quoted £400 by a local Bodyshop to carry put smart repairs on the affected areas, but as you can see, she does carry herself very well and always draws admiring glances and evokes conversation with drivers at traffic lights. Please do look at all of the photos as they form part of the description. I also have a full set of stainless steel fairing bolts which I will include as I have not found the time to fit as yet. Bike is registered to me at my home address and is HPI clear, I have a print out of the report but you are very welcome to carry out your own of course. These are becoming hard to find in good, honest and reliable condition, especially with such low mileage. I’m not desperate to sell her and will quite happily keep her and have the paintwork brought up to 100% and hang on to her, so I have a sensible & appropriate reserve. She is a 90’s Honda and will always start on the button, be reliable and ride like Tadao Baba intended, not to mention increase in value (and my child will grow, go to school and I can ride the bike as I intended!). These bikes are for sale in dealers for up to £9000, with higher mileage, so with a little time & effort to bring her back to 100% she will only ever be an appreciating asset.
