This is a 99p start, no reserve auction for a barnfind 1986 Honda VF1000F. The auction will run till the end. If you bid, you are bidding to buy, not to make your mind up afterwards, or try and chip the price. Read the entire listing and look at all the photos in detail before you bid, if there is anything you're unsure about or don't like, do not bid. Viewing is welcome and recommended prior to bidding. 1986 Honda VF1000F barnfind Keys present Full logbook present in my name. I have started the bike and had it running on a dummy fuel tank and jump leads. Ran ok, sounded ok, no plumes of smoke or horrible noises, revved up an down ok. All the electrics appear to work. Selects gears. 54k miles displayed on the clocks Reg is displayed so please feel free to run whatever checks or hpi's you want. There is no battery with the bike. Rear tyre looks ok Appears (not a guarantee) to be complete and original, good opportunity to get hold of a cheap 80's superbike. It does look reasonably good, but is in your typical sort of barnfind condition of a bike that's been off the road 10 years and is 34 years old. From what I can see, it needs fork seals, a new front tyre, tank and tap will want attention, clutch doesn't appear to have any fluid in it (no feel to lever), and a general recomission and good service - but obviously there's no guarantee that this is an exhaustive list, this is what I can see from looking at it. Tank is looking a bit toasty in one corner as photographed, it does appear (again not a guarantee) to be solid and not leaking though as there's fuel in it that hasn't come crashing out of it, and OK on the underside. If you want to see this in more detail, come and have a look. When the tap was turned on no fuel came out the outlet but did appear to weep out of the tap itself, so tap will need attention, likely a scrub out and tap repair kit. Free cobwebs and dust included! Would make an excellent base for restoration, be brilliant if it went to somebody who's going to get it back on the road and use it properly. Do remember the bike is 34 years old and whilst photos are useful, there may well be marks scuffs and other things present that you cannot see or might overlook unless viewed in person. Remember when bidding, it is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't. I've done my best to be as honest about it as I can with what I know about it, but as always viewing is highly recommended so you can get a good look at what you're bidding on and judge for yourself. The bike is very obviously a project, and will very obviously need work. You won't be riding it home, you will need a van or trailer to collect. Collection and payment in full is to be made within 3 days of auction end. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Delivery MIGHT be available, but check for cost and availability PRIOR to bidding. The bike is strictly sold as seen for spares or repair only, with no warranty given or implied.
