FOR SALE IS MY MOST BELOVED AND CHERISHED 1998 HONDA VTR 1000 FIRESTORM OFFERED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH JUST 29480 MILES. IT IS COMPLETE WITH ALL DOCUMENTATION, ORIGINAL TOOL KIT, MOT CERTIFICATES, AND EVERY BILL, THRILLS AND SPILLS FROM DAY ONE! I personally change the oil, oil filter, lubricate chain and spark plugs every 3 - 4 months. It is such a doddle to work on and service. Everything is easily accessible therefore economical to own! The Michelin tyres are in excellent condition, no timing chain rattles meaning the original cam chain tensioners are in fine fettle. (If you are OCD about it then you can change them to manual timing chain tensioners for about £35/ pair BUT I know my bike does not need them yet!!). It is super reliable and will take you anywhere. It is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. NOTHING MODIFIED by myself or the previous owners. I am not one to wax lyrical about the Firestorm or RC51 ( I always wanted an SP1!) but In my opinion it is one of the most reliable, well built, easy to maintain best handling low centre of gravity ( v-twin with one of the cylinders mounted horizontally!) performance bikes in the world!!! Nothing to go wrong, it’s all mechanical and the last of its type with twin carburettors and manual choke. A few scratches and marks here and there but only noticeable to the vain, the insane and the pedantic. Always garaged and used during the summer. It is for sale because because I’m loosing my lockup unit and Secondly it costs me £11.50/ day on ULEZ living in central London! There’s speed bumps everywhere and over zealous speed cameras ready to snap you riding more than 20mph!!! It’s not economical to own anything motorised here! I’m done! The photographs are the description. Expect a few scratches here and there consistant with a 23 year old bike. I can be persuaded to deliver it ( ride it to) anywhere nationally providing you live near an interesting English heritage / national trust site, pay for petrol and my return journey!
