Description

BMW R75/6 1976 This bike was imported from Oman. It is believed to be firstly owned and used by the Royal Guards of Oman. The second owner Mr C was working as a helicopter engineer for the royal household. He purchased the bike on 30/06/2002. I believe Mr C serviced the bike himself because there are stacks of receipts for bike parts from BMW dealer in Oman, Motorworks LLP and other parts suppliers. In March 2009 Mr C had the bike shipped into the UK. May 2014 Mr C sold the bike to the third owner Mr W. Mr W swapped the speedometer from Km/h to Mph. Ensuring the odometer reading was equivalent, he converted 30,970 km to 19,201 miles on the new speedo. On 19/09/2015 I purchased the bike from Mr W. The bike now is 44 years old, there no need for Road Fund License or MOT because of its historic vehicle status. It's a great bike, starts first time and runs well. The reason I am selling it is because it just sits in the back of the garage and does not get used enough. Time to let someone else to enjoy it, as I have. The bike has nearly new tyres purchased 2017 at 19,929 miles. I have just had a minor service and new MOT done on 18/06/2020 for the buyer's peace of mind. The bike comes with an extra single seat, top box, spare Bing carburettor, spare centre stand slightly damaged (I had a new one fitted), and plastic tool box. There is a small dent size of a pound coin on the top of the tank. The offside R75 emblem is missing from the engine. There are various paperwork of old MOT certificates, receipts for service and parts, import certificate and present V5. I cannot verify the mileage but from the paperwork I have it seems to be correct. I also have an uncut spare BMW folding key which will come with the bike. Buyer to arrange collection.
