1972 AJS Stormer 410cc immaculate example with V5C. Here is a stunning example of the famous AJS 410cc “Stormer” from 1972. Developed from the Villiers Star-maker engine which was competitive in TT racing and the Y4 scrambler which was campaigned impressively by Malcolm Davis & Andy Robertson in the 1969 World Motocross Championships having had previous success in the British Championships. So the Norton Villiers and AJS heritage and the history is there. Also the spares back up is good with the AJS company still able to supply genuine spares. This example is in excellent running order. Starts well and of course sounds absolutely awesome! It is awesome to ride too ,ultra acceleration and tidy well balanced handling. This bike is road registered but may require different tyres and a speedo to be technically road legal of course. A modern Mikuni carburettor has been fitted but the original (enormous) Amal Concentric and original air filter is included along with some other sundry items and some genuine spares lists. There is a V5C, registration EKH765K, frame number 070087/147 Engine number A2503 ECR. The bike is registered for Historic Class, so road tax is free and it is MOT exempt. Cosmetically the bike is in beautiful, near immaculate condition. Wheel rims and spokes are all as new, seat is as new, exhaust is as new. Enamel on the frame is perfect high quality stoving. Tank has been ethanol proofed. Tyres are as new Dunlop Sports. This is a rare and desirable early 70’s scrambler an awesome and fun machine to ride or just admire it as a work of art!
