Grab a fantastic project with this Honda CR500 EVO motocross bike - or ripe for twinshock conversion Phill & I travel to California buying these bikes and bringing them back to the UK. This particular bike is a race bike or restoration project. It arrived on a container from California 2 weeks ago. she's missing a couple of bits & pieces but nothing major that you can't get hold of.. cracking compression, & spark. A little cleaning of the carb & the bike fired into life - a bit smoky but there's no telling how long it is since it has run & if you run her for a while the smoke will clear. clicks through the gears fine. So the motor is good - we know most of you would rebuild anyway at least the top end but at least you know it has run. These Air cooled CR500's which are a 1 year only bike can race in the EVO class with water cooled stuff OR they make a stunning twin shock bike when converted ... & then they are highly competitive & very very valuable!! There is something about the old Honda's which i really like & with a bit of work this would be a beautiful bike & as you know they are getting rarer & more difficult to find especially in "project" condition which if you are like me, thats how you want them as you get the enjoyment of restoring them yourself. Bike is 36 years old & is being sold as a project whatever you choose to do with this bike I am certain you are starting from a great platform. obviously due to current lock down restrictions people may find it difficult to collect so we can either take a sizeable deposit & you can collect after the lock down OR currently bike delivery companies are still delivering bikes throughout the country so we can get you in touch for it to be delivered... any questions please feel free to ask Classic bikes have seen huge increases in value over the past 10 years & they are set to continue.
