Description
1959 Triumph Tiger Cub Competition model T20C. Matching engine and frame numbers with certificate from the VMCC to confirm model. This bike should have a high level exhaust but that has been changed over the years. This bike was shipped out brand new for export to the USA in 1959 and repatriated in 2016. I have been told the colour on the tank was only for the American market.it does not run. There is great compression and I was told that the engine was rebuilt when I bought it, it looks like it has been worked on but I cannot guarantee this. What you see in the photos is what it is, no front mudguard etc. This model was only made for 3 years. It has a current V5 in my name. The number plate is 3 numbers & 3 lettersI will NOT tell you the frame or engine number. PLEASE READ THIS BIKE WILL GO TO THE END OF THE AUCTION. NO BUY IT NOW. YOU CAN ASK BUT I WILL IGNORE YOU. PLEASE ASK THE WIFE IF YOU CAN HAVE IT FIRST BEFORE BIDDING ON IT. THIS KIND OF BIKE DOES ATTRACT DREAMERS (LOSERS) CASH ON COLLECTION The T20C competition model was first introduced in 1957 with the main changes to the T20 being the use of 18″ wheels, the absence of a centre stand and the fitting of a higher level exhaust system to improve ground clearance. It used rubber gaiters to cover the top of the fork legs and used a slightly smaller fuel tank and shallower mudguards. The T20C continued into the 1959 season but was then superseded by the T20S Scrambler from 1959-61
