1975 Kawasaki S1C 250 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Proj Manufacturer: Kawasaki Model: S1C 250 Year: 1975 Engine No: S1E17327 Frame No: S1F-16577 Colour: Halibut Blue Mileage: 5558 Capacity: 249cc Starting at: £1499.99 Stock No: 88206 This very rare and much sought after Tax & MOT exempt 1975 Kawasaki S1C 250 Mach I triple has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 5558 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non-standard & a few bits are very nice indeed. The wheels are straight with reasonably clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguard is solid. Instruments look ok. Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy as is the grab rail. The engine is cosmetically clean but it doesn’t turn over - the kick starter doesn’t seem to be engaging with anything. The cylinder heads are all loosely fitted & all 3 piston crowns look ok BUT we haven't had it running. We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.(This can take upto 4 weeks) You need to get the bike MOTed. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
