Description
Re-Listed due to bidder apparently 'losing his job the day before pick-up....') Let's be generous and believe him. Please only 100% genuine bidders who can 100% complete the transaction quickly, who has pick up plans more or less sorted. Bike is in London NW8. M1 and M3 are all fairly easily reached if you're from out that way. Really nice Kawasaki 1976 P reg Z750 Twin here. NO ULEZ charge !Starts and runs well, sometimes fiddly electric start. fine once you get the hang of it, but it also has the most satisfying option of the kick start. It's in very nice, clean condition. It's a 1976 model, so no MOT or Tax required (also no ULEZ charge in Central London) Historic.I don't know the original miles as it's not the original clocks. Quite easy to sell these and buy Z ones... It's a total smiles for miles bike, old school, great Kawasaki exhaust note - sounds more like a 60's/70's Bonneville actually.Took me right back to being a young lad again. As you can see the previous owner(s) have changed the clocks (look like Suzuki ones to me) different bars, painted the wheels and rear shocks black, seat and bar grips are a very dark brown, end pipes are i was told Harley, the ignition if you look closely is a kind of pull up switch... ignition switches are easy to get on eBay tho'amazingly enough as a together bike it works pretty well - i'm sure if you're so inclined you can carry on with the cafe/bobber look, or get it back to a more 1976 look, i have a pair of higher bars that i was told are the original bars.I've sourced an original chrome front mudguard.Brakes are good for the era, front and rear lights working fine. The seat fits better than that i just had it loosely placed on in the pictures, didn't notice till i got home with the pics..The tyres look brand new to me - front ones have the bobbles on.I reckon it would look great as a Steve McQueen / Great Escape homage bike,The tank has no noticeable dents that i could see or scratches. We all know the mid 70's Z's are going for very good money, the engine on this sounds great, no smoke or rattles, it's great fun to ride.Very rare of course but many Z parts are interchangeable from 1976 thru to 1984.I've made a quick video of it starting/running - I can try to get it to you if required. (WhatsApp) I've not started it for a couple of months as i've managed to badly damage my shoulder but i'm 100% confident it will start and run fine.i'm not giving it away cheap, a mint original one is worth well over £4k... These bikes qualify for very cheap classic insurance thru the likes of Footman James.Bike is being kept in my very secure garage in NW8 Camden/St.Johns Wood area. Nearest tubes are Chalk Farm, Baker St, Great Portland St, Euston, nearest Train stations - Marylebone/Kings Cross/St.Pancras/Euston.Bike can be picked up by your courier if necessary (obviously all fund cleared in my bank 1st) - No dodgy geezers please, i can spot you a hundred miles away.try Shiply or Ebay etc for couriers. Happy to deal with professional couriers. I do know a couple of good ones.Ad ID: 1353010629
