Description

For sale is my 1984 GPz 750, which I'm selling as I want to reduce my bike collection. As the photos show, the bike is in excellent condition cosmetically. It spent the first 30 years of it's life in Italy, before being imported to the UK in 2014, and has 2 previous owners on the V5. The clocks are in km reading 28,822km (17,909 miles). I bought it in 2016 from Earl Classics in Kent (earlclassics.com). It's the bike featured in issue 71 of Practical Sportsbikes, and I have a spare copy of the mag, which I can include in the sale if wanted. In the three and a half years I've owned it, I've done just over 1100 miles. Everything is original, apart from the exhausts which are GPz copies from a company called Marving. I did have it on ebay last year and I had an offer which I accepted, but after taking it out for a quick 6 mile ride to check everything was ok before pickup, I noticed the turbo had sprung a leak. I told the buyer and he understandably cancelled. Since then I've had the turbocharger reconditioned at AET Turbos, at a cost of nearly £500, (invoice shown in photos), which should give the new owner peace of mind. MOT'd till Feb 2021. Bad points - MOT has an advisory of 'fronts forks slightly stiff.' Also the nuts under one mirror worked loose on the road somewhere. The mirror is fine, it didn't fall off, its just loose, and I have replacement nuts so it's ready to go back on. I run the engine regularly, and a small oil leak has appeared in the last week or so, at back/left side of engine. I've been advised that this might be the alternator cover seal or a seal from the gear linkage to gear box. I'm fairly sure this is an easy fix for anyone with the ability, but due to the current pandemic, I can't get it looked at professionally and this is reflected in the price. Obviously the bike is a rare and appreciating classic as seen by the crazy money being asked for these at the moment. Mine is more sensibly priced to sell, and would make a great addition to someone's collection. I'm open to sensible offers only. Any questions, please send a message on here, or text 07391 162401 and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Viewings welcome, with due consideration to what's going on at the moment. Buyer collects (I can't deliver), and as usual, the bike won't be released until funds have been transferred. No returns, sold as seen. Thanks for looking
