Thanks for looking at my auction for my Typhoon 125cc moped, I purchased it about four years ago from a racing team in Scotland who used it as the run-around at the track, not for racing, but for errands around the grounds. At the time the bike was not insured or MOT’d or taxed, but was very well maintained by the mechanic who looked after the other bikes. So when I purchased the bike all I have to do was get an MOT and insurance and tax and I had the perfect bike for a local run around. The mileage is displayed in kilometres at 6927 which is about 4300 miles (thank you Siri!). I got a new moped in 2019 so this bike has been sitting unused, uninsured and SORNed. I’ve just had it MOT this morning and need to get rid of it to make room in the garage. The bike is black, with a few age-related marks And blemishes (which I’ve tried to show in the photos) as you would expect from a bike of its age. Mechanically it is sound and has been serviced by a local garage who specialises in bikes. I am a mature motorbike rider who has qualified with both IAM and RoSPA. So the bike has been well looked after and not abused on the road. The cargo hook in the foot-well is ideal for a bag or two of shopping and its design means it locks over the shipping bag’s handles so they are more secure than on other mopeds. There’s also room under the seat for a full-face helmet or other items to carry. The bike has a nice roomy seat, with room for a passenger and pillion handles for them to hold on to or they make an ideal anchor point for strapping cargo. There’s a slight blemish on the front forks but it’s above the usual movement of the suspension so was not marked up as an advisory on the MOT and has not impacted the seals. The lock in the seat has been replaced so has a different key than the ignition. The fuel pipes have also been replaced this morning to pass the MOT due to the old ones perishing. As you can see from the photo, the V5 Logbook is here along with all the paperwork I have collected over my ownership, but no service book. I’ve only done a few hundred kilometres since the last MOT and it had a new set of tyres to pass that. The auction starts the bike at £1 with no reserve - the winning bid will be the price to pay. I’m in Hartlepool and can arrange delivery for those local for cost if needed.
