1984 Yamaha XV1100 Virago Unregistered US Import Stunning Clean Trade Clearance Manufacturer: Yamaha Model: XV1100 Virago Year: 1984 Engine No: 423-003426 Frame No: JYA42G001EA003426 Colour: Red Mileage: 12633 Capacity: 1063cc Starting at: £999.99 Stock No: 88874 This stunningly clean 1984 Yamaha XS1100 Virago has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 12633 miles have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.....Not that this bike needs restoring …..LOOK AT IT!!!......PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is complete & has a few nice after market parts – Slash cut silencers & fly screen being the most obvious. Though it is 36 years old It hasn’t stood forever – indeed it is still registered for use in America until 2021. The sissy pad has a few punctures in the cover & some chrome is lifting off the engine covers. BUT NOW FOR A CLOSER LOOK.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 36 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels are straight with lovely clean alloy, good tyres, brake plate, discs, calipers & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy. Mudguards are both solid & are very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Exhausts are solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Indicators are tidy. Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean BUT BEST OF ALL it fires, starts, runs & revs off the button. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. BUT, for bikes over 40 years old, if you want us to do it all for you - Inc a number plate, we charge just £100 to cover our admin costs. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH THE US CERTIFICATE OF TITLE AND WE WILL PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE VAT & DUTY IS PAID ON THE NOVA SYSTEM.(This can take upto 4 weeks). Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles under 40 years old only) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. The American Title is a recognised document for this purpose. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
