This and the fact it's only showing 21220 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic American bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us right!?. As you can see this outfit looks to be complete with all the whistles & bells. The only damage we can find on it is the lense on the running light on the chairs fender & minor marks/scratches in some of the paintwork. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual outfit you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 28 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy & working brakes. Forks & yokes look straight & clean. Mudguards are all solid & are tidy. Instruments & switches look good. Carburettor is free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically quite clean, just loosing some of its paint finish BUT BEST OF ALL when we charged up the battery & fed it fresh fuel it fires, starts, runs & revs…..Indeed it passed a MOT test & we have applied for full UK registration so it will come with age related number plate & V5 log book.
