Here is my Yamaha DT 125r, I have only had it a short time, I bought it as a runner with MOT but it was reluctant to rev very well I fitted a fully rebuilt engine a few weeks ago with an athena 170cc kit. Fitted a refurbished mikuni carb with a bigger get (260) as the old carb had a damaged air screw, the new engine has done less than 3 miles since I fitted it but it still has the same fault where it breaks up at high revs. I have now lost complete interest in the bike. It could be electrical or the exhaust etc, the coil fitted is not the correct one And the pickup has been soldered up at some point. The CDI seems to have been changed. The autolube is connected and working The bike starts rides and stops fine, it will pull fine until about 6k rpm then breaks up. The power valve is pinned open. lights and indicators work all the gears are good. There is the original 125cc engine, new clutch plates and the old carb with the bike. I have 1 Key and the V5 is in my name it is registered as a 125cc still. Tyres are brand new although over 60mph they are not the best, cosmetically it’s ok and but not perfect. Frame has been painted blue. It’s got blue alloy levers. Any questions please ask Would make a really good project for someone mechanically minded to finish off NO TIMEWASTERS, NO SWAPS
