1996 ( P reg ) Yamaha Thunderace being sold as spares repair.Owned the bike since 2003 and loved owning it, just never get a chance to ride it any more with other commitments/projects taking over. Bike is spares or repairs because on my last ride ( 24/6/19 MOT last year ) before being SORNed it felt slightly rough tickover, I put this down to old fuel in the tank and perhaps some gumming up in the carbs, I made a note to drain fuel and clean and balance carbs but alas this has not taken place and the fuel in the tank is another year older. Still starts first time on the button.Bike has only done 12 miles since last MOT ( 6 of those where ridding back from test station ) so should walk through next test, I know that if i decide to take for MOT I will fall in love again with the ace and decide not to sell, will then end up doing zero miles again.Everything works well, brakes, clutch, gearbox and engine. Good Bits Front and rear Pirelli Angel ST tyres fitted with less than 100 miles on them.DID o ring chain and sprockets fitted less than 100 miles ago.Mottobatt MBYZ16HD battery less than 2 years old and alway trickle chargedRear hugger fittedScottoiler fittedoriginal exup valve in original down pipes works and down pipes in great condition.Micron end can fitted. Spares Including 2 top fairings 1 with headlight and bulbs etc.+ clear screen (both have cracks and pieces missing but was planning on making one good one out of the pair ),Haynes workshop manual, oil filter, 2x pairs of front brake pads ( ones that are fitted on bike are fine ) Venom stainless end can, paddock stand ( seen in photos ) Bad bitsOnly one keyusual aged related marks with small crack below right hand indicator and top pieces of top fairing missing both sides but have ridden for 5 years with the damage to the fairing and does'nt effect the screen or ridding ( fell over during the lengthy process of removing from shed and squeezing between caravan, had purchased spare top fairings to replace/repair )Only reason being sold as spares/repair is I wouldn't want the purchaser to take home and think about riding it to the South of France the next day with out draining fuel and cleaning carbs. No buy it now and auction will run to end, low start price with well over £250.00 of spares thrown in.Probably would get more parting it out but its a far better bike than that and deserves and new home and to beridden. located in Galashiels, Scottish borders 30 miles below Edinburgh.Cash on collection.
