Description

1970 Triumph TR6C Tiger Competition Unregistered US Import Classic Project Manufacturer: Triumph Model: TR6C Tiger Competition Year: 1970 Engine No: CD46233TR6C Frame No: CD46233TR6C Colour: Black Mileage: Unavailable Capacity: 649cc Starting at: £999.99 Stock No: 89137 This very interesting 1970 TR6C Triumph 650 Tiger Competition has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has parts missing, Seat, clocks, switches, chain guard, and front mud guard are apparent. The rear loop of the frame has been cut off too. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. The forks and yokes look straight. The tail light assy is good as is the Bates style headlight and bowl. The carburettor slide moves if you lift the cable. The paintwork is faded but solid, fuel tank is fairly clean inside, but not spotless. Both the rear stainless mud guards has an additional hole and star crack, which if repaired would be hidden by the seat. The 2 into 1 exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean, and cranks over nicely off the kick start. We have had it running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention. If you are ready for a new project and have been looking for a classic Triumph 650 Twin to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!! We are listing this bike as a trade clearance item with a super low SUMMER MADNESS SALE starting price so get bidding and get this project started.......Ask yourself the question “CAN I AFFORD NOT TO BID?” CORVID-19: Due to recent changes inspecting a bike is now possible by appointment.
