rare 1st edition 1978 GS 1000 imported in 2014 by Dk motorcycles the bike is standard with low frame and engine number and low mileage with 24000 on the clock most of the bike is in really good order but the bike does have some rust inside tank and a hole in right hand side rear silencer ,brakes will need bleeding however calipers are very good condition, all electrics work , carbs and cables are free sliding as should, paintwork has Mark's on ,and seat has some cracking in leather ,gears all select fine and clutch cable operational, one of the engine fins have chipp but my dad did purchase a spare cylinder head with good fins should you want to replace however to me it's hardly noticable it's only a minor chip in one fin but the spare head will be included which has valves and carb inlet rubbers on it aswell , the bike will require new battery,the bike has been fired up with auxiliary fuel tank , no oil leaks but it appears carbs will need attention due to being stood , fuel tap moves freely this is my dads bike and very reluctant sale his intention was to do full restoration but due to on going back pain the bike is just sitting there and has come to realise that it is never going to get it done so sadly will be selling and all paper work of nova are provided , remember this is a project bike before bidding it is 42 years old the bike is pretty much the same as when bought so other things may need doing along the way and is sold as a project I have tried to be as honest as I can but all in all a real tidy bike for 42 years old with original paint Cash on collection I am happy to wear a mask when collecting no reserve
