1982 Kawasaki GPZ1100B2 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Restoration Project Manufacturer: Kawasaki Model: GPZ1100 Year: 1982 Engine No: KZT1ABE015867 Frame No: JKAKZBB18CA015936 Colour: Red Mileage: 13743 Capacity: 1089cc Starting at: £1499.99 Stock No: 88961 This big old 1982 Kawasaki GPZ1100B2 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. A fairly easy repair, for some. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has few parts missing, but the left panel is missing, and one of the rear indicatros is hanging loose because, the bracket is broken. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, and calipers but the brakes don't work. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome, though there is some pitting up under the bottom yoke. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. The clocks look tidy. The switches look okay but the right hand one is cracked, everything on the left that should move does so. The throttles move off the twist grip, but the travel is limited and stiff. The paintwork is there to see with a buubling on the fuel tank which is grotty inside. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are look okay but have little issues. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are solid. The standard exhaust is a bit rusty underneath but solid, and the end plates have been removed. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing on easystart spray but the fuel system will need attention. If you are ready for a new project and have been looking for a classic Twin shock GPZ1100 to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!!
