Description

1954 BSA A10 Golden Flash, good runner unrestored condition with V5C Here is a very sound easy to start and sweet running old A10 BSA 650cc in basically unrestored condition. The bike starts well sounds great and rides well. Gears & clutch are good. Brakes are reasonably OK. Speedometer is working Dynamo is charging OK and lights & horn all work well. The bike has been off the road for a few years but is in basically good useable condition. It comes with V5C document Registration number NUY797 is period and transferable, date of registration 6th November 1954. Frame number is CB7074, this clearly is not a proper BSA number and has been stamped onto the frame at some point in the bike’s dim and distant past (maybe after a frame change). It does however match the V5C doc. Engine number is CA10R 9263 (which is actually a road rocket number) The stamping looks to be genuine BSA but the engine number record in the V5C is different. This can easily be corrected. So not a bike for the purist looking for matching numbers! It is what it is as they say! It is registered as an historic vehicle, therefore road tax is free and it is MOT exempt. Cosmetically the bike is dull and old looking all over. It has been off the road for a while but is basically, subject to usual checks, road worthy I would say. All chrome is dull including rims. It looks like the bike would clean up though to some degree and make quite a presentable, old patinated classic ideal for all year round use! Exhaust looks good and seat is in good condition. Tyres are Avons front and rear. front looks about 50% worn more or less unworn both must be quite old but are OK looking. There is one broken fin on the engine, the very bottom fin on the near side of the cylinder has a large chunk missing. Centre stand is not in great condition as it seems a bit uneven. This can be a problem on softer ground. Side-stand lug is intact but no side-stand currently fitted. All in all this is a good old BSA A10. Really ideal for someone who wants a rainy day bike or possibly something to restore whilst not looking for a matching original machine. Don’t miss this sturdy old BSA, up and running and ready to return a bit of tlc with sterling service for many a year yet. Selling with NO BUY IT NOW & NO RESERVE!
