I bought the bike in 2016 from James Sherlock, BMW specialist. https://www.james-sherlock.co.uk. The bike is a Japanese import supplied by Sherlocks in mint condition. The only differences from a UK bike are the speedo is in klm. which I soon got used to and the lights switch on with the ignition. Sherlocks replaced the clutch. (These clutches last. I did 80,000 miles on a clutch on a R1100RT). Issues are minor: erratic fuel gauge and small cracks on the fairing 'ledge' (photo). See comment about fairing beak below. Corrosion is minimal. I washed the bike thoroughly after any exposure to road salt. There is some paint flaking around the forks, very minor pitting of rear wheel rim and the usual corrosion of exhaust clips. Exhaust header bolts regularly sprayed with ACF50. No advisories on MOT. Features:HID lights replacing the poor BMW headlights. Components used are the best available, bought from HID50.https://www.hid50.comDenali D2 dual intensity LED spot/fog lights. Top of the range lamps giving 423 feet beam distance.Z-Technik touring screen. High quality American made screen. Height: 18.5 inchesGivi monokey rack for top box. I have the grab rail.Rider and pillion seats re-covered 12 months ago. This has made the seats a lot more comfortable.Touratech hand guard extenders and side-stand foot plate.'Beak' of the fairing replaced with a metal grill made by a specialist metal worker. (photo) The beak snapped off in a minor incident; the bike was not dropped. Definitely handles better in strong cross winds without the beak and the oil cooler is well protected. And it looks better!Black Widow exhaust system with carbon can to reduce weight. Original exhaust and CAT in very good condition included with the sale. (photo)Hagon front and rear shocks with external hydraulic adjuster on the rear. . Only about 1200 miles on these shocks.Bike serviced to BMW schedule by an excellent technician. FSH.
