This is an auction for my Lifan LF250 Motorcycle. I bought it to commute to work, but changes to my work pattern mean that I will be working from home more often than not, so it is no longer required. It runs really well and is MoT’d until Mar 2021. Whilst I have had it, I have painted the frame (Hammerite – looks OK if you stand a few meters away and squint!) and have given it a full service (oil and filter were changed a few miles ago). It is essentially a Yamaha XV250 clone. Yamaha sold the design to Lifan and the parts are absolutely interchangeable. Having owned many Yamahas in the past, I would say that the build quality is just as good. Even though it is only 250cc, it will haul my not-inconsiderable bulk to over 70mph and appears to be quite stable at such speeds. It has done only 6600 Miles (10622 Km).The back wheel is a bit tatty and I bought a used one to replace it, but that turned out to have a wobble and I have not had time fix it. I bought a new tyre to go with it, but that has not been fitted either. They both come with the bike. The battery is starting to show its age and although it will hold a charge, it may need changing in the next few months. The only significant cosmetic issue is some paint damage on the tank. The pictures make it look better than it is, so I would highly recommend viewing before bidding.
