Relisted due to ebay removing listing for having 'like' in title which breaches their rules apparently. Through lack of use and with regreat i've decided to sell my RD250.It has had a full engine rebuild by 'Racoon 2 stroke rebuilds' and has had the carbs set up and tuned on a rolling road by RD specialist Tamar racing. I had the engine rebuilt as i suspected the seal between the two crankshaft halves had clogged up as was transferring air/fuel between cylinders as it wouldn't really rev. This wasn't the case, apparently the internals were in good shape but as it was apart they put new mains, big ends and seals in. The issue was the carbs and all new jets and needles bought and fitted, Tamar racing set them up and tuned the bike, it runs great now from idle to higher revs. I estimate it's run for less than an hour since. The side cases are powder coated but in my opinion if you wanted the engine to look perfect the barells could do with being painted inbetween the fins as the original paint has flaked off in places. You need to look close to notice this. Also being original and unrestored the are some inperfections it's picked up in 45 years these are 2 small dings the tank which i'm told could be crefully pushed out as the paint isn't damaged, Some corrosion on the headlight brackets, a bit of corrosion on the headlight bezell and the high/ low switch on the headlight has lost its plastic part, the front brake master cylinder black paint has been attacked by brake fluid and there is a bit of light surface pitting on the silencers. I've tried to show these in the pictures. The rest of the bike is good but not concours, it's a bike that looks tidy and is usable. Mileage is 19538 Numbers are matching. 1976 on the reg document but it was made in '74 or '75 apparently. A dozen or so old MOTs and some old receipts. It's barely been riden in the 2 years since i acquired it so would be better in the hands of someone that has the time to ride and enjoy it.
