For sale as spares or repair/project is my RSV 1000r, damaged due to a low speed low side, avoiding wildlife. This is not the factory model. I keep meaning to get it repaired and back on the road but never get round to it so i'd rather someone else gets the use out of it, or the parts. I've owned it since 2016 and have known it for longer, all three previous owners knew each other. Used as my 2nd bike mainly for commuting and a few track days of which were always ridden to and from, it was always 100% reliable and pretty amazing to ride. Always behaved impeccably in all weathers and traffic situations, especially low down smooth torque which implies the throttle bodies were perfectly balanced. Prior to me owning it the decals were removed and it had had a pretty poor attempt at a carbon wrap/makeover, which i peeled most of off. Its not the most cosmetically pretty thing but that was the appeal for me, i could ride and just enjoy it, not worry about having to polish it. Its fair to say every panel has some damage or issue and that's with out the crash damage. That said it never wanted for anything mechanically, i helped the previous owner in 2015 go right through it which included all new fluids including coolant, battery, tyres, filters, plugs, suspension calibration etc. From then on its had maintenance every year in my ownership with oil, filter, plugs etc. but as i used it pretty much every day it got weekly/rolling maintenance like chain/sprockets, fluid levels and tyres etc. The clutch fluid in particular discolours fairly quickly on these, mine was always kept clean and clear with regular changes etc. Valve clearances were done before i bought it and are not due till 33k. Prior to the low side i had recently put new AFAM chain and sprockets on, full service, Piper cross air filter, Magnecor leads, Front calipers rebuilt at Powerhouse with new Genuine Brembo pads, new EBC X series discs, uprated starter solenoid, battery, larger oil filter upgrade, clutch oil jet upgrade and other bits as i was going to keep and use it forever. These bikes are so well engineered. It also has the Exact Start battery cable upgrade to go with the larger starter solenoid and battery so it starts first touch of the button even in minus temperatures. I replaced the cables completely, not piggy back with the originals. It also has braided brake lines too and the Michelin tyres have plenty of life left in them. So the crash damage, which is all on the right hand side, check the pictures to identify whats what. Both brake discs were damaged, the clip on, throttle, upper air intake, etc. are the main bits. The huge standard exhaust saved most of the bike. I have checked the front forks in a lathe and they both run true and the lock stops are untouched. It went down on a grass verge and due to the angle sensor in the tail unit the engine was off before it even layed over. The engine and cooling system were all untouched. It has not been subject to an insurance claim. Its been off the road for 18 months or so, I've run it up several times and gone through all the gears on the paddock stand etc. as you can use the cold start lever to control the engine. Stills starts first touch of the button. Since being off the road the rev counter has developed a fault and now the needle does not align/work with the rev counter background but still moves etc. I haven't even washed it so its still commuter filthy and in very much as used condition. It comes with manuals, some invoices for odd parts, the original bill of sale, first service invoice at 1679 miles and V5 as per the photo and only one key. I have the pillion seat, spare LH clip on and some odd spares that are included. The paddock stand is not included. I am very Covid aware, distanced outside viewings/demo's are possible but payment will be cash on collection only, with all relevant precautions taken.
