For auction here is a triumph 6T Thunderbird which has been turned into a cafe racer. It has been stood a while and the info I have been passed is as follows: Thius has a V5C with it with the following info Registration No: CSU 604, Frame No: F4610, Engine No: D15175W. The bike is available to view. It turns over with good compression but no attempt has been made to start it. This is a high spec bike though. For those of you who can notice these things, it is a Duplex framed machine, with twin leading shoe front brake fitted ( these did not come out till 1968 from memory) slick shift type gearbox, twin Gardner flat slide racing carbs, matching chronometric speedo and rev counter, rev counter timing cover etc, twin carb alloy delta head, twin cable throttle, alloy levers etc etc. There is a lot going on here. Obviously the tank and seat unit look horrendous, but this is period stuff. This could be restored back to being a standard police bike, or left as a cafe racer, so you have plenty of options with this project. The jumbler in me sees £ 500 worth of carbs and £ 500 worth of clocks to start with, which could easily be replaced with concentrics and magnetic clocks. The reg number is original and transferrable which I am told is valuable but I have no idea how valuable. Make your own mind up on that. No Paypal or credit cards.
