This is a Yamaha Vmax 1200 that has been converted into a trike. From what I can find it is a 1988 model, first registered in Holland. Brought to the UK and registered in 2001. The last owner told me that it was converted to a trike by a firm in Holland, but I cannot confirm this. The rear differential and drums appear to be from a 1.6 Ford Capri. The last MOT was passed in 2013, and it has been off the road since then. I bought it as a non-runner four years ago, and am selling it now because I need the garage space, and do not have the skills to sort out the electrics. I have done some work on it. The coolant hoses have been replace with silicone ones. The radiator and fan have been replaced. Oil and coolant change. New oil and air filters, and spark plugs. It still needs quite a lot of work done; The engine turns over with the starter motor, but does not fire up. There are decent sparks at the plugs so I think it is a fuel delivery issue.The brakes need repaired and serviced.The electrics need fixed, mainly the rear end lights. Some of the switches and instruments will need repaired or replaced. Cosmetically it needs attention. I was thinking of sticking with the black paintwork and developing a "rat" look. So there are challenges, but it has the makings of a cracking trike, and would be a great project to complete.I have the V5C document, and a record of the MOTs (with mileages) from 2007 to the last one in 2013.I have tried to be as clear and comprehensive as possible with the description and photographs. Obviously I cannot post it, despite what the ebay "Postage" section says. It will need to be collected, which will require a trailer or large van. On 27-Jan-21 at 09:27:21 GMT, seller added the following information: I have had a number of questions about the Trike, so thought it would help to add some information.It is registered as a Tricycle on the V5.The driveshaft is present, it can be seen in the side on picture in front of the exhaust components.The brakes do not work and, as in the description, they will need repaired.All the exhaust sections are present, but I have never had them connected together. One of the brackets that attaches the downpipe to the block is damaged, and will need replaced.I do not have a "buy it now" price, and there has been a lot of interest in the Trike, so I am letting the auction run.Thanks for all the questions, and the bidding. I hope that whoever buys the Vmax has the skill to renovate it to the brilliant Trike it could be.
