1982 Kawasaki KZ1100D Spectre Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restore Manufacturer: Kawasaki Model: KZ1100D Spectre Year: 1982 Engine No: KZT10AE014102 Frame No: JKAKZBD14CA003442 Colour: Black Mileage: 34272 Capacity: 1089cc Starting at: £1599.99 Stock No: 90361 This well respected 1982 Kawasaki KZ1100D Spectre shaft drive factory custom muscle bike has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Standard airbox, grab rail & front indicators being the most obvious. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy & working brakes. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look ok. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is faded but solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. BUT, for bikes over 40 years old, if you want us to do it all for you - Inc a number plate, we charge just £100 to cover our admin costs. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH THE US CERTIFICATE OF TITLE AND WE WILL PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE VAT & DUTY IS PAID ON THE NOVA SYSTEM.(This can take upto 4 weeks). Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles under 40 years old only) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. The American Title is a recognised document for this purpose. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number. Spares you may need Our used spares dept may carry items you need for this project. Any parts available will be offered for sale on eBay.
