This auction is for my lovely old Africa Twin. I bought this in 2010 and it served me well for 2 years commuting to work all year round. Since then it has been a superb bike taking me all over the UK and Europe for fun.The Africa Twin has always been my ideal bike, having had one new in the 90’s that I regretted selling. I am only selling this one now because an old pelvis injury and short legs mean it is getting too awkward to ride. These bikes are getting collectible now, but be under no illusions, this bike is not a mint museum piece. It is an honest, used, well looked after bike that still looks good due to Honda’s legendary quality and has loads of usable life left to give.Please look at the pictures and ask questions of me to get a fuller idea of condition. The bad bits are: -Engine cases on both sides the powder coat has started to come off ( very common on older XRV’s)-Very small mark in the paintwork of the tank where a garden tool fell against it in the garage.-Abrasion on the tip of the rear fender where it rubbed on the tailgate of my trailer when I collected it from the previous owner 10 years ago.-Trip computer screen is slightly crazed but still visible and works perfectly.-My cat has put some claw marks in the seat (cosmetic only, doesn’t affect integrity of fabric) Good bits:-Givi pannier rails-working Scottoiler-Remus exhaust ( original exhaust included )-wavy front discs (original discs and dust shields included)-recent Michelin Anakee 3 tyres-D.I.D chain Bike has just sailed through its MOT with no advisories and is running really nicely, but will be due a service and oil change soon.
