Hi, Welcome to the auction for this gorgeous 1950 Sunbeam S8. I am selling this bike on behalf of a friend who doesnt use the internet. The Sunbeam is a british built, 500 cc twin cylinder classic. It is in great condition for its age with a lovely patina. Its fully working and runs like a dream. It has also just had a full service ready for a summer of enjoyment after lockdown. To compliment the bike, i also have masses and masses of history. This includes one of its early registration documents and lots of service records. It had a full engine rebuild around 1000 miles ago which is also fully documented. It has had a full paint job at some point in its life which was done to a high standard. The wheels have been painted black which is the only thing that lets the bike down slightly. There is a photo included in the paperwork taken post resto. It doesnt appear to be a matching numbers bike, the early paperwork shows a different engine number to the paperwork later on in its life. If the engine was changed then it must have been done during its first 10 years of life. Not perfect cosmetically but is very strong mechanically. Theres not many bikes around with this much history. The bike is MOT and Tax exempt and registered for the road with a V5 in the owners name.
