I have owned this GT550 for ten years and covered 35,000 trouble free miles. As you will see from the pictures it looks a little shabby now, but it still starts straight away and goes well. It has the usual primary chain rattle when cold, but that is normal and has not got any worse during my ownership. I once rebuilt the carburettors and the slow running was transformed. I could ride along smoothly at a slow walking pace. I think the pilot jets need adjusting as now at slow speeds the engine surges so I have to slip the clutch more to achieve a slow crawl. I am sure a carb service will cure this.Two new Avon Roadriders were fitted 1,000 miles ago.The rear footpegs have been removed (I still have them) but the left bracket has been cut down, so if you wanted to carry a passenger you would need to find a bracket.I have modified a Moto Guzzi fairing to fit and it works very well. I also have a tatty red fairing which you can have if wanted.The original air assisted rear shocks have been replaced with aftermarket shocks which have now started to rust, but not leaking. Heated grips have been fitted, and a topbox.Engine oil and filter changed recently, spare filter included. Bike in St Austell, Cornwall. Please come and have a look.
