Hi Selling my 1976 RD400C.Please read description very carefully.Bought a few years back from a chaps collection, he use to start his bikes up and run them but never rode them.When I bought it I rode it around my town once or twice and although it ran nice I felt it was not running as well as it should. Bike was put away as I have other bikes and every few weeks I would start it up and run it till it was warm and then put it away again. I was reading one day about people swapping the points system for electronic ignition and thought this would be a good idea so bought a Newtronics system and fitted it and I am not great with stuff like that but bike did start and I went up my road and back but as I was coming back bike stopped and I could not get it to start again so put it in my garage for over a year. took it out again few months back and swapped the electronic ignition back to points and still bike wont start. I bought two new coils and still no joy. im no mechanic I put it back in my garage and I can not be bothered with it. Just bought another bike and had to tuck in to my savings to do so. I should put the RD in to a garage and get it sorted then sell but it means having to get it transported spend more money to get it running to sell it so im selling it as it is.Beautiful looking UK matching numbers bike, Mot exempt, Tax Exempt. Its a 44 year old bike so don't expect a new bike.
