1985 Honda VF500F Interceptor Unregistered US Import Very Clean Easy Project Manufacturer: Honda Model: VF500F Interceptor Year: 1985 Engine No: PC12E-2102066 Frame No: JH2PC1202FM101476 Colour: Tri-col Mileage: 15516 Capacity: 498cc Starting at: £1499.99 Stock No: 91700 This indredibly clean and original 1985 Honda VF500F Interceptor has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic project is the bike, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike is very good. There are a few marks in the paint and the front brake lever is a bit bent. All the bodywork seems intact and firmly attached. BUT NOW FOR A FEW DETAILS......... The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, calipers and working brakes. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and cowl. Instruments and switches look bright and clean, with everything moving as it should. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. The seat is in good condition. The indicators are tidy and firmly attached. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are solid. The standard exhaust is especially good, very little evidence of rust even underneath. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention. If you are ready for a new project and have been looking for a classic VF500F Interceptor to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!! The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. BUT, for bikes over 40 years old, if you want us to do it all for you - Inc a number plate, we charge just £100 to cover our admin costs. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH THE US CERTIFICATE OF TITLE AND WE WILL PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE VAT & DUTY IS PAID ON THE NOVA SYSTEM.(This can take upto 4 weeks). Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles under 40 years old only) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. The American Title is a recognised document for this purpose. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number. Spares you may need Our used spares dept may carry items you need for this project. Any parts available will be offered for sale on eBay.
