It's a sad day, but I finally have to admit defeat and offer my lovely VFR800FiX for sale. I bought this bike just prior to knee surgery, expecting that once I was healed I'd be able to sit with my leg bent for long enough to travel proper distances, but for some reason, that is impossible. It's not that the bike is cramped, it's just my leg doesn't like being bent. So, it's got to go - the bike that is, not the leg ... I was lucky enough to find this VFR with extremely low mileage back in 2015, and after a few short painful rides, put it under a cover in my garage, hoping I could eventually get to use it. But now moving house means the bike has to go. The only small cosmetic problems I know of are a little crack in the left lower fairing and a few little scratches in the same area, caused by the bike rolling off it's side stand when the previous owner parked on a loose surface. There's also a small area of black lacquer that's come off the clutch case on the right of the bike. Other than that, I think it's pretty much immaculate. As you can see from the photos, it is standard apart from a rear seat hump and a black double bubble screen. I have the original screen and the pillion hand grips somewhere in the back of my garage, but I think it looks better as it is! Because the bike has been sorn'd for so long, I think a little maintenance would be needed before it went back on the road, but from wheeling it around for the photos it feels like the brakes are working fine, and the clutch is free. On 29-Aug-21 at 18:18:45 BST, seller added the following information: Update on the VFR - After a day fettling, the bike runs beautifully. All the old petrol has been dumped, the fuel pump brought back to life, and it starts without issue and sounds just as gorgeous now as it did when I bought it. I will be putting a new battery on as soon as I can get hold of one (possibly Tuesday, probably Wednesday) then it should be good to go to a new home. For some reason eBay won't let me fill in any more of the little boxes, so I can tell you here that the mileage is a mere 7555, and the bike is gagging to do a load more. If you've messaged me today I'll be replying later this evening, and if I can work the technology I'll post a video of it running, but don't hold me to that!
